Definitely having post holiday blues today! Not only have I been slobbing around the flat doing all the annoying things you need to like washing (woo!), it is chucking it down! Mind you I think it's doing the same in Cornwall so that makes it feel a little bit better! Sorry people of Cornwall!
So to explain a bit more about the holiday and why we went there…Cornwall is beautiful! But apart from this has always been a special place to my family, particularly the lovely fishing village of Mevagissey, and been a much visited place over our childhood. There are so many special memories there that I couldn't even get into now but to go back now with the next generation (nephew and friends children) to show them feels like a right of passage almost! Sadly we lost the person the place was most connected too last year and this trip was quite symbolic in living on with the memories of old but creating some new ones too , something I think we have done quite well this week! At the end of the day nothing stops us missing the people that have gone but the memories we hold will last forever.
