Lost in...wonderland

Jacket: River Island   Jumper: H&M   Trousers: Primark   Boots: Topshop   Ring: Topshop   Snood: Primark   Bracelets: H&M   Watch: Urban Outfitters

Ok so I must admit when I woke up this morning and the sister said we were meeting friends for lunch at a garden centre I did think "dear me, how old have we gotten?" but I wasn't quite prepared for where we ended up this afternoon. Once through the gravel and puddle car park it was like stepping into a strange other little world, scattered with random ornaments, antiques, constructions and the odd old Blackpool illumination!

Willow Pool Garden Centre and Tea Rooms are the weirdest and most random place I have been for a while but full of interesting places for pictures so we did take a few as we were walking round. The tea rooms themselves are basically in like a wooden shed dressed up with Christmas lights and branches across the ceiling and decorated with stone cherubs and chandeliers! I thought as we were heading to a garden centre would break out the florals but due to the chill this tapestry H&M jumper was just right. I have tried to pull back the brightness on the pictures as the trousers are more coral than pink they look in these so work better with the jumper, also want in mint! Will post some more photos from the day to my facebook page, here, soon so you can see the randomness.

Time...to fly

Shirt: Primark   Jumper: H&M   Jeans: Topshop   Boots: Topshop   Sunglasses: H&M   Ring: H&M   Necklace: Topshop

As you can see, still experiencing quite a bit of snow at the moment, no more falling but just making all the surrounding areas look very pretty. Have been spending the last couple of days seeing family and taken these shots in-between. Have decided the key to dressing for the bright but very cold is layers (and many hidden layers!!!) so have hidden this shirt under a cosy knitted jumper that I bought about three years ago but love due to the softness and as it has lots of clear beads hidden within the knitted circle.

The blouse underneath has lots of printed swallows all over, a theme picked up in the feather ring, and is a nice slouchy blouse as has a really long hem at the back. The necklace I wore in one of my first posts, here, and like due to its slightly unusual items on it. Have got to get into the statement earring trend now that's a big thing again, always used to wear them and then went to just wearing the same ones for work. So keep and eye, or an ear, out for future pics...

Blue...skies

Sunglasses: H&M   Blazer: Primark   Top: H&M   Watch: River Island   Jeans: Red Herring   Boots: Topshop   Ring: River Island   Bag: Primark

Still is unbelievably cold at the moment but with glorious sunshine, so in an attempt to feel warmer cracked out the sunglasses! Though you can just about see the few layers concealed under the top, which I like due to its dipped hem at the front and back.

The Topshop boots look at lot brighter when you catch them in the right light and like the Irregular Choice boots in the previous post are comfy to walk in with the thicker heels to them. In summer will pair with a bright skirt like this, here, in the popular calf length or similar flower print dress like this, here.
