Going...strong

Dress: Vivienne Westwood Anglomania   Boots: Manchester Market   Necklace: Primark
Second image: Selection of jewellery from H&M, here.
Fourth image: Selection of jewellery from River Island, here.

This dress was one of my last purchases of 2011, (along with the beautiful gold boots from Irregular Choice, here) and I love the way it falls with the slit neckline that falls lower just behind the left shoulder and the different hem lines and the ruched middle on one side that makes it gather and gives that slouchy relaxed look to it. Also the longer sleeves (do love a longer sleeve as you may recall, need to stop holding onto them in pictures though!) only thing is it creases like anything! Have, kind of stereotypically, put with army boots here but could be dressed up with some very simple sandals, like the Celine ones, here, and a clutch.

I have weeks of particularly looking at certain items more than anything else, like shoes, bags and this week it's been jewellery. Was kind of kicked off when I saw in Miss Selfridge this ear cuff, here, that have started to become a bigger thing after appearing in catwalk shows like Marchesa last year and partly due to my horoscope saying 'check out spring jewellery, it will cheer you up!" - yes, yes it did! Been having a look around the rest of their section at some of the more unusual items like body chains, leg chains, hand chains are all quite different. Check out Miss Selfridge jewellery section, here, which currently has 25% off online.

Not so...steady

Jacket: River Island   Fur collar: New Look   Jumpers: Primark   Jeans: Topshop   Socks: Primark   Boots: Primark   Hat: New Look   Snood: Primark   Bag: Primark

You'll have seen this outfit from my challenge page for this year but here are some more photos from our trip ice skating over New Years, in the very picturesque setting in front of The Royal Pavillion in Brighton. Was a beautiful place to do some skating, or in my case sliding/being pulled along the ice! Luckily about 5 minutes after getting off the ice it chucked it down and didn't look quite so pretty.

I was wrapped up in many layers and making good use of some fluffy Christmas socks (I think from Primark) with a shorter jacket to be able to move in, though the sister looked like a pro in her skater coat (again Primark, I think!) and Mantaray hat. The boyfriend didn't have a choice for being in pictures, mainly due to the fact if he let go I would have fallen over! A lot!

Boot camp...and glitz

Sequin top: Topshop   Treggings: Topshop   Boots: Manchester Market   Sunglasses: H&M   Necklace: H&M   Watch: Urban Outfitters   Vest (just seen): H&M   Bag: House of Holland for Debenhams

It has been a glorious day today, beautiful sunshine and lovely and warm. It didn't start like that though, it was grey but warm hence the t-shirt and big army boots! As said before I like sheer items and this one particularly with the double layer of sequins and fabric over the top.

We were out looking for boys suits for the wedding, which proved quite unsuccessful - boys are horrid to shop for. I did however find a gorgeous sequined french connection dress (sequins again, am like a magpie!) that was a bargin, very pleased with it I am. Not sure when I will wear it but I want to soon!
