Spring clean...for autumn

Top photo: Primark
Last photo: Warehouse

Have started to have a bit of a clear out, getting ready for some of the lovely autumn bits I want to get, am determined to be better and clear out before buying more things! That and I have nowhere to put new things at the moment. My idea to turn the spare bedroom into my walk in wardrobe didn't go down too well!!!

Both these jackets I love but end up wearing either my biker jacket or mostly cardigans instead at the moment, never really seem to have the occasion to wear these. The sequin one I wore out once for a birthday night out with simple white vest, black drain pipes trousers and heels. The cream coat would be nice over a dress for more formal occasion like a wedding. Go through the shop tab and click on the image of each to go through to the ebay listing for both of these.

School bags...home time

Dress: Primark   Sandals: Primark   Watch: Urban Outfitters   Satchel bag: Primark

Has been a lovely day to have a walk round Didsbury, looking at all the houses we want to live in! Going for a girly girl dress day today. I like this dress as a nice summer cover up and has little patchy prints of zebras all over it and the girly feel goes through with the flower details of the sandals.

Living so close to the large Primark in Manchester has been a dangerous thing, particularly whilst being a student, but am trying to be better now and start saving up for some more investment pieces but you can't help it sometimes with things like the bag here that is a great cheaper version of one that I wanted, here, from The Cambridge Satchel Company. Also loving all The Fluro range, here.

Ties...and strolls

Vest top: Topshop   Sunglasses: Miss Selfridge   Shorts: Primark   Sandals: Primark   Bracelet: H&M   Necklace: H&M

Just wanted to get out and be in the sunshine for a little while today, after being stuck inside all day it was needed, got to get out while it lasts! Just threw on something comfy like these floaty shorts that are a darker blue with little pink hearts over them, I like how they look like a skirt.

The top has three string ties on it down the back and pull in from different widths so you could wear quite tightly like I have here or have loosened if wanted. I just like items like this that looks like a normal vest top from the front and then has something a bit unexpected like these ties on it.

Wings...high flying

Top: Topshop  Jeans (just seen): New Look

Found these old pics the other day when going through my laptop, think it was something to do with my uni work, or just like posing! I love the sleeves on this and the feather print, has a flash of pink in it too.

These photos are also making me want to get my hair chopped off again now. Was thinking after the wedding I would go for a bit of a change of style, it's just what to do with it?! Do I go as drastic as Frankie, here, or just a shorter version of the same style, kind of like Ashley, here? What to do?!

Ice cream...and sandcastles

Sunglasses: George   T-shirt: Primark

Have returned from our travels to the south coast and filtered through many many photos of the Cornish landscape and beaches! Like I said previously I wish I'd packed a few more things with sleeves as it was a bit too chilly for all the vests and shorts I had packed. We had a lovely time spending the week going all round the Cornish coast and my favourite bit was all the little tourist shops that have all your seaside souvenirs, some strange things in those!

The boyfriend makes a rare appearance on here this week as I really liked his sunglasses that we came across quite by accident, (mainly because I was looking for a hoody for me!), and his polo shirts blended in well with all the guys there in the same with 3/4 length shorts and Toms. I did have quite a stress at him when I realised he had only bought his Toms as I knew how they'd probably get ruined and how much he loves them!

Wedding joy...all over now

This is quickly becoming a wedding blog! No, it's all over now, the wedding has been and gone this weekend. We have just left our venue and are now relaxing at the B&B in Cornwall, with a fantastic view of Mevagissey harbour and, conveniently, WI-FI. It was a fantastic weekend with a lot of people putting in a lot of effort to make the venue how the sister and (now) brother-in-law wanted it.

The bridesmaid dresses were from Monsoon (blue) and Coast (green) and the sister bought us both a leaf and pearl necklace with out initials on. We both had evening dress in shorter versions of the same colours so we could do some heavy dancing after the food (of cupcakes, cream teas and finger sandwiches to go with the theme). The best idea was the basket of flip-flops for the guests in the evening who had sore feet, most were on feet by the end of the night! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Johnstone!

Time for a little travel...back soon

OK so from tomorrow morning we shall be heading off for the wedding of the year (move over Kate and Wills!) so will be away from computers for a little while. Here's a few snaps from my time in Brighton, where I have had a great time enjoying some sunshine and some shopping! And spying some great street style like the girl above who had the most gorgeous tan oversized bag, should have asked where she got it from!

For the next week or so, while I'm away shall try and keep updating twitter and facebook page (like the rest of the Brighton snaps, here) so keep checking in on these for the time being and shall upload some photos on my return. Hopefully get some good wear out of all the holiday outfits that have been sat in my wardrobe...please don't rain! See you soon!

Ok so we are in full swing for wedding preparation right now, only three days till the sisters impending nuptials and I still can't choose how to have my hair, arghhhhh! This is by far the biggest crisis at the moment (though the sister might not necessarily agree with that!). My dress is a royal blue maxi dress from Monsoon, here, and think will look best with some kind of messy up-do, the question is which?!

I really like the plait detail in Jessica's but don't know if that would be a bit fussy and then the messiness of Audrina's, but would that be too messy? Or I could go a bit more glamourous and high up like Vanessa's, here. So many different styles for what I could have! What to choose?! HELP!

The sun down here in Brighton is making me think back to last year in Ibiza and how glorious all that sunshine was! I love the sun, digging out all those bits that fall to the back of the wardrobe and you feel would be completely inappropriate at any other time. I hope we get to go back to Ibiza this year, the one place I can honestly say I have felt the most relaxed in.

The sunsets have not been beaten yet and nothing can compare to chilling at Cafe Mambo, with some great music, great cocktails and beautiful surroundings, and the occasional beautiful person too! I love how relaxed or glamourous Ibiza can be so need to take a mixture of clothes. Remember wore the dress, here, for a festival look but great and loose to wear in the sun too.
