Special...Kool

Dress: Dorothy Perkins   Boots: New Look   Clutch: Primark   Necklace: River Island   Thin bracelet: River Island   Thick bracelet: Topshop

Feel a little bit like in a Special K advert when wearing all red but do like it as a bit of a change! The fall and tie belt of the dress make it a flattering shape and I like that it can be summarised with some tan sandals and accessories or, equally, just as good for the winter with some black tights and boots, could wear my black version of the above that have worn before, here, coincidentally with another red dress!

I must admit the inspiration for this look cam greatly from seeing this image, here, of TV host and columnist Louise Roe. Just liked this mix of bold colour with the shoes and the looseness of the dress. Also trying to grow my hair back to that sort of length coz I miss it being able to have proper loose curls...it is a loooong and boring process, any tips for mid length hair that won't really do anything?!

Ohhhh...sunny days

Shirt: Primark   Shorts: New Look   Flatforms: Primark   Sunglasses: H&M   Bag: House of Holland   Watch: River Island    Necklace: River Island   Belt: Primark

So how else better to spend one of the nicest days this year yesterday than sat in the park and trying out the unmissable flatform trend?! I thought I wouldn't ever see these, after seeing in a magazine much earlier in the year when by chance whilst covering in Liverpool saw them in the window whilst passing. Similar versions here, here and also tempted by these all black versions here

I must admit I think my preference would still be for straight forward heel or wedge but they are a good way of adding a bit of length for a more casual look (could also work with rolled up jeans and an over sized t-shirt). You luckily do not see me having a bit of a wobble on them later on, but I am definitely blaming the uneven terrain in the park...not as easy as it looks!

Hidden...but so good

Jacket: River Island   Jumper: Topshop   Trousers: H&M   Scarf: H&M   Trainers: Solewish   Bag: H&M

So followers on Facebook and Twitter will have already seen my excitement at finding some of these Isabel Marent-esque hidden wedge hi-tops. I've only been banging on about them a little while! I love the look, how comfy they are and the hidden wedge in them that gives you that bit of extra height that, I must admit, makes you strut a little bit when walking (that was till I trip on a pavement walking between trains! Haha!).

Had to go home for a couple of days this week so these were taken on the tube between trains going back up to Manchester so was necessary to wear something you can easily run in when the fight for train seats starts! Other options for similar styles here, here and these River Island all black versions, here, that are second row and second from the left that I was torn between getting with the above, not on the website atm but have seen in stores this week.

Find the...light

Jumper: Topshop   Jeans: Topshop   Trainers: Converse   Bag: Primark   Ring: River Island   Bracelet: River Island   Sunglasses: H&M   Jacket: River Island

Who'd believe the sun's been out this week?! Was making the most of it, and the new sunglasses, (haven't been able to find the same aviators that broke on holiday - see twitter feed for the sunglasses disaster that was me and the bf on hols!) with some funky purple framed newbies I got yesterday from H&M, also want these tortoiseshell frames, here, and they also did some v funky heart shaped frames that I was tempted with - may have to go back this week.

Have been very into the relaxed look with trainers, rolled up jeans and baggy jumpers/t-shirts this week. On our outing yesterday did find some fantastic trainers that, if I succumb and end up going for this week...(which is pretty much inevitable), I will post next week.

Jewellery: All River Island
Images: Zoing Image shop in Brighton

Ok so I couldn't help myself after having a little trawl on the Internet this week and came across River Island's latest drop of jewellery pieces. Think it was the moustache ring that made it for me but also love the delicate and simple designs of like the cat ring and the thin gold bangle with the text on the inside, and outside, of the band. Other pieces I was looking for but they didn't have was this dolphin ring, here, which is a bit retro, think I had one of these when I was younger and this cat and mouse ring set, here, so cute!

The canvas' that I took the photos on are all from one of my favourite shops back in Brighton called Zoing Image, where I have to go every time when I go back to buy something new. I have a little collection of canvas, magnets and clocks on my wall. The photographer, Serge Rolland, takes a variety of different photographs but I like the items they sell on the website and the shop as they are mainly based on images of Brighton in extreme close up and high contrast and vibrant colours that makes me think of the seaside. Check out the website link above to see more.

Soft...and subtle

Jumper: Primark   Jeans: Primark   Shoes: Primark   Backpack: Primark   Vest: H&M

Found this post whilst going through and making adjustments to the blog, don't think I was sure about it at first but I quite like that it's not an outfit where am wearing all black! Also that backpacks have been making a come back, this one I got a while ago when there weren't very many around but now there's a whole load flooding the high street, like this version, here, and, here.

Also the pink jeans are so gorgeously soft, I do love watching them. Posted on Twitter earlier the adverts that go with their #My Mix for Ebay Fashion and really like Anda's look with the white jumper and patterened jeans. Think she pulls it off a lot better than me but this kinda reminded me of it! Check out their story, here.

Two sides...for each story

Dress: Kate Moss for Topshop   Sandals: Primark   Watch: River Island   Bracelet: Topshop   Ring: H&M

Some more shots from the holiday in a dress that I have had for AGEEEEESSSSS!!! I think it was actually from Kate Moss' very first collection for Topshop, (who can forget that picture of her in the Topshop window at the collections unveiling here). As I have said previously I love garments with different cuts/shapes and like this with the different shoulders (one sleeved, one non) and the draw string to pull up the hem to the wanted level and the ruching across the stomach.

One of my favourite bloggers, The Cherry Blossom Girl, has also just returned from Tenerife and has some gorgeous images from the landscape (as well as some equally gorgeous photos of her garments and accessories!), especially jealous of her dolphin sightings. The only wildlife we saw was a slightly scary but very yappy dog and a small lizard I decided to call Steve, not exactly the same!
