Staying…in

Dress: Primark   Scarf: Primark   Belt: H&M   Bag: New Look   Boots: Primark   Sunglasses: H&M
So this time last week we were enjoying a stroll round in the sunshine, this week I am curled up a duvet with the sniffles! I miss last week!!! This look was very much inspired by my favourite show from London Fashion Week this season, the Burberry Prorsum show. I just loved the variety of colours, hand painted motifs, the shapes and the longer line dresses/coats but with belted in waists and splits to show off a bit of leg! Check out a couple of the looks below (photos from www.vogue.co.uk):

As said before have got a couple of tickets to the Vogue Festival talks that I now can't unfortunately go to so have put them up on seat wave, here, if anyone is interested? Ooo also up on the Best of Streetstyle Facebook page for style of the week, here, so get voting if you like the look! :) I also have to say that these photos are care of the helpful brother-in-law, he's quite good ya know, even if it pains me to say so!!!

In a…cage

Jumper: Glamourous   Skort: Zara   Shoes: New Look

Been thinking of ways to wear my new cage shoes, (seen here from my recent New Look haul!), this was one of my favourites. With last years blogger staple, the Zara skort, that there are now loads of variations popping up already this year ready for spring, like this tartan one, here, from Boohoo and this sequin number from MissGuided, here.

Getting into the red lips much more recently and this colour balm from Rimmel is great at lasting and not drying them out. I never thought I particularly suited bold make up shades but this one has a lovely tone to it. This is The Redder The Better but I must go back and get some different ones!

New Look…haul

Instagram is such a dangerous place! Well it is to me this week! Saw New Look's pic about remaining sale items (which included two of the three above items!) and had to have a little look. Like the structure, colour and texture of the bag. Like the sheer over the top factor of the bracelet and the shoes were £8! Need I say more!

Brighton…times

Jumper: Hand knit   Jeans: New Look   Scarf: Primark   Bag: Primark   Boots: River Island

As said in the previous post the recent trip to Brighton was a bit weather dependant! On the one nice day we ran out (to entertain the little 'un, here) but it was still rather chilly. Me being me didn't really pack anything practical so it was good luck that the parents were turning out their bedroom to redo and Dad was getting rid of this yellow jumper above. Obviously oversized but like the baggy fit with the baggy jeans and then found out that my mum had actually hand knitted it for him back in the day! Well done on the knitting skills Mum!!! Really wanting this round bag, here, to have gone with it!

Have included some pics of one of my favourite places for food in Brighton, Bill's, a converted big warehouse it is like a half market and half restaurant, which in the summer can have the large front doors all open or just a little door in winter. Like the story behind it too, here.

Let's start…again

Hat: H&M   Top: Vintage   Trousers: H&M   Boots: New Look

So as you have all probably realised haven't been posting for a little while and the reason being (aside for a crazy hectic Christmas period!) is that I kinda wanted to have a bit of a refresh and switch around on the blog. As you may have seen some changes to the site, still somethings I wanna do but thought when better to launch a change than on New Years hey?! If 2013 has been anything, it has been the year of change, some good, some bad, but all leading to a new start…which hope the blog follows on with.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Years, what are the resolutions for this year then? Mine's simple and lil bit cheesy, but is just to do things that make me happy. Have learnt this, sorry last, year that it doesn't have to be crazy extravagant things but little things everyday, seeing certain people and doing certain things. That and dress up more (need to break out some more heels)!!! Well hope everyone likes the changes, any thoughts are much appreciated, and that you all have a loving and beautiful 2014!

Going to…market

 1. Choose a basic, but warm, outfit. Comfy boots and a statement necklace never hurts!

 2. Add trusty winter coat!

 3. Then oversized knit scarf, worn full length

 4. Add beanie…(my Nan always said to wear a hat, not that she ever did as it would ruin her hair!)

5. Go to the Markets!!!

Coat: H&M   Shirt: Primark   Jeans: H&M   Boots: New Look   Scarf: Primark   Hat: H&M   Watch: River Island

As some of you may have seen from my Facebook/Twitter page and photos, here, and, here, it has been the most glorious day here in Manchester. I've said before, I love this time of year! Yes don't get me wrong am all about the warm weather and sunshine but days like today are great. Crisp air, perfect sky and no wind! As long as you go out wrapped up enough, it can be lovely, hence my steps to getting wrapped up above.

Even more lovely (told you that necklace suited what I say!) was to explore the Manchester Christmas Markets today, just had a quick look round to see what was there and get into the Christmas feeling a bit more, not that it takes much! Usually feeling very festive and looking forward to putting the tree up soon, that and is now less than a month till my birthday, eeeee, getting excited! Shall add a post with some more pics from today at later point!

Be...brave

Sunglasses: H&M   Dress: Topshop   Sandals: New Look   Watch: River Island

Haven't been on here properly for a little while and took these above photos today whilst taking the little nephew out for a day to give the sis and bro-in-law a bit of a break. The bro-in-law, (seen before in all his splendor, here) has been having an incredibly tough week and has been holding himself together with great bravery and I wish him all the get well love in the world.

The dress, on another note, is something I saw someone wear whilst I was in work and basically stalked her round till found out where it came from! Went to see if any left and only had two, with one being in my size...taking that as a sign!!! Is great for this heatwave as the splits and side gaps create some nice air vents!

Primary...colours

Sunglasses: H&M   Top: New Look   Jeans: H&M   Shoes: River Island   Bag: Accessorize   Necklace: Topshop

Must be the sun but was out today in an outfit with no black! Have spent the day playing with the nephew in the sun and saw by our flat, in the park, a lovely area of bright dandelions and buttercups and seemed like a great place to take a few pics. Like these sandals with a bit of a chunky heel, so no sliding into the grass!

The necklace I saw on someone in town and hunted the internet till I found it on the Topshop website, (well hunted might be a bit extreme as it was the first website I looked at!), also saw this dragon one from River Island, here, on the same day and now am thinking might have to go back for it!

Outdoor...gym

Coat: H&M   Jumper: H&M   Trousers: H&M   Boots: New Look   Necklace: River Island   Scarf: Primark

So I am now on holiday this week and spending it entertaining and keeping the sister and family busy. It's actually more of a struggle than first thought as you have to think of things where you don't go far, doesn't take a long time and she doesn't get worn out - you know incase it brings on very sudden labour!!!

Today we took a bit of a walk round the park near our new flat, which we haven't really explored too much, only to come across this outside gym which I think is a great idea (well in the sunshine it would have been, not so much in the snow!). Also this is possibly the closest I will ever get to the gym...my new years resolutions had absolutely nothing to do with joining one!

Quickly...needed

Jacket: River Island   Snood: Primark   Boots: New Look   Dress: Primark   Hand chain: Topshop

This is probably the quickest I have had photos taken for the blog, was literally like run outside, snap, snap, snap, run back in and put some trousers on! Was actually typing this as it started to snow too. The bf was very excited that it may mean a snow day but unfortunately it didn't happen and he didn't get to go sledging as he'd planned! :(.

Was drawn to this dress pattern instantly and with the slightly quilted feel wanted it even more so. Actually took these before going out in the last post, hence why the same boots, but they are surprisingly grippy in the ice! Still not managed to get the Topshop ones yet...keep checking, and checking again!
